So my mom has a meat grinder that she used to grind chick peas. Well in the middle of all that it stopped working. so i took it appart and cleaned the places where the peas get grinded and stuff. but still — nothing. so what could be the problem ?

Will this 7 cup kitchen aid food processor chop cooked steak or beef?

Info on "metates" (Mexican ancient food processor)….can anyone help?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 3:55 am on Thursday, September 30, 2010

I am doing a presentation on metates and cannot find sufficient info on web or anywhere. I went to my school’s databases and I cannot find good enough information.

Can anyone share anything they know about METATES? Like how to use it, how it is used and how it WAS used? What places in Mexico still use it and the Nahuatl word it derives from? As much info as possible…..THANKS!

Why is there no law regulating restaurants’ and food processors’ use of the word “vegetarian”?

I am frequently shocked to find items labeled as "vegetarian" have lard, chicken broth, or gelatin in them. Regulators can do it with "organic" (though organizations such as Wal-mart are trying to weaken such regulations). Why can’t they do it with "vegetarian"?

Frankly, I think every food product should have a label on it if it meets the requirements of either vegetarian or vegan.
You might want to check if you ever eat at a Mexican restaurant.

Making baby food question?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 8:48 pm on Tuesday, September 28, 2010

I got a blender to try to make baby food. It cuts the green beans into small chunks. I need mush. Should I get a more expensive blender, a food processor, or what?
