I'm about to make hummus, can I use a daiquiri maker in place of a food processor to mash up the chick peas?

Yes, you can

It might not mix well until you start adding the lemon juice and water. The chick peas and tahini will be too thick to properly blend. Once everything is in, it should blend ok.

I like that name, I will rename my blender to be called a margarita maker.
