I just purchased a food processor (7-Cup Food Processor : model # FP9012; 120v~60 Hz, 350 W)
Here the link to see the picture.

I also purchased an electric converter ( Lewis’N clark ; 0-2000 Watt Dual converter kit; reduces 220v to 110 for use in countries operating on 220 V)
Its manual indicates that “For 110V electric heating appliances up to 2,000 watts and electronic appliances up to 50 watts.”
Here is a link to see the picture. http://www.lewisnclark.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=276

Are these two are compatible ?
thanks.

My wife has threatened divorce if I get any more but this is what I have

1 stand mixer
1 blender
1 hand mixer
1 stick blender
2 food processors (big and small)
1 toaster
1 pasta machine
1 crepe maker
1 cotton candy machine
1 crock pot
1 wine chiller
3 juicers (not my fault…..wedding gifts or shower gifts)
1 electric skillet
1 fully automatic ice cream machine
1 freezer bowl ice cream machine
1 microwave
2 refrigerators
1 spice grinder
1 bread machine
1 electric smoker
2 drip coffee makers
1 espresso machine
2 electric perk coffee makers (one huge and one 10 cup)
1 electric knife sharpener
1 waffle iron
1 steamer/rice maker
1 vacuum sealer
1 dish washer
1 electric scale

And, I bet somebody is going to put something on their list that I forgot. Is there anybody out there that has a more ridiculous list than I (and trust me, half of my list is a waste).

Frozen drink maker vs blender?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 2:18 am on Sunday, May 29, 2011

I saw a blender type apparatus called the Caribbean Chiller Frozen drink maker and was wondering if it was any different than an ordinary blender. Do blenders shave the ice into a frozen drink? I’ve never owed one.

Also, if you have a good quality food processors will this perform the function of a blender?

Are all blenders "loud"? This one takes 7-10 minutes to blend a frozen drink. Sounds long.

Trying to decide between this, a regular blender or the magic bullet.

Is the magic bullet any different than a blender?

Is this the cheap crap Americans want to buy?

Walmart recalls GE food processors
Around 255,000 General Electric Food Processors sold exclusively at Walmart have been voluntarily recalled due to a risk of laceration and fire, the government said on Wednesday.
The safety interlock system on the recalled food processor can fail, exposing blades while in operation, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement.
Food processors can also emit smoke or catch fire.
There have been 58 reports of incidents, 21 of which resulted in injuries to fingertips and three in fire.
The product is a black with stainless steel trim 14-cup food processor with a 169203 model number.

When will Americans learn that you get exactly what you pay for? Who in their right mind shops at China-Mart anyway?

I'm looking for an easy veggie burger recipe…?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 5:31 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2011

I’m just looking for a good way to make a veggie burger…I like them but the processed ones don’t taste good to me anymore. I do not have a food processor so if anyone has a great recipe that doesn’t involve one that would be great.

Do I have to do anything prior to freezing store bought fresh fruit?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 2:21 am on Saturday, May 28, 2011

The fruits I have in mind on savoring are strawberries, blueberries, grapes (though never heard of that) and bananas. I just ordered a really nice food processor and would like to keep frozen fruit so that it:
1. It does not spoil by the time I use it (it goes fast) and can be expensive
2. Can have some healthy snacks during this hotter weather, other than ice cream and frozen novelties. Already frozen fruit gets very messy once it thaws out.

Thanks….

Why does wal-mart knowingly sell dangerous merchandise?

Walmart recalls GE food processors
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Around 255,000 General Electric Food Processors sold exclusively at Walmart have been voluntarily recalled due to a risk of laceration and fire, the government said on Wednesday.

I use the word "knowingly" because any product has to pass quality control inspection before leaving the factory. Wal-mart is notorious for skimping on quality to save a few dollars at the expense of their consumers.
Notice the article says " General Electric Food Processors sold exclusively at Walmart "
That means that walmart placed the order for the appliance and walmart set a price that they were willing to pay for it. GE had no choice but to make it CHEAP and cut safety corners. WALMART IS BAD FOR AMERICA!!!!
