I need some recipes that I can cook that don’t require a stove or oven. I have a microwave, a toaster, a blender, and a food processor. I’m not a big fan of microwavable dinners – does anybody know any other good recipes that don’t require an oven or stove?

oatmeal cookie questions?

Is it ok to use aluminum foil over a cookie sheet or will that screw it up? My cookie sheet is kind of old / dirty.

I don’t have a mixer, but I have a food processor…to whip the butter and combine all the ingrediants, can I use a food processor with the plastic blade?

Thanks
winter – you’re talking about a microwave.

Tell me if you like this recipe! I think it's good but what do you think of it?

Take as many slices of Italian Bread you need.
Grind up a lot of ham in the food processor [if you dont got one just use tha blender :-) ]
While its grinding, mix together a nice spread–>honey mustard and softend butter and spread it on all of the slices of bread.
Spread some ham on each slice.
Fun part!!![optional]
Cook up some asparagus.
Once its done, put 3-6 things of it on the bread with ham
Take some Swiss cheese and spread it over the asparagus.
Melt it in the oven [or microwave, whatever] for about 5 minutes.
Serve!

Just tell me how you think it would taste like
Its very good I LOVE it!!
yea i forgot u do add garlic! hehe and NO its not a pizza lol
yep everyone i sure did get it from Rachel Ray hehe i love her!

Buttered breadcrumbs questions?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 8:48 am on Thursday, December 9, 2010

I’m taking mac and cheese to a work luncheon tomorrow. The pasta and cheese sauce is ready to go into the oven tomorrow morning.

The recipe calls for 1/2 cup buttered breadcrumbs topping. I made some breadcrumbs with my electric bread knife (no blender or food processor available). Should I dry them out overnight?

Also, lunch is at noon, and I’ll have to take the casserole out of the oven by 7:40 a.m. at the latest. Because of the breadcrumb topping, can this dish be reheated in the microwave? I put a lot of effort into stirring that sauce for 15 minutes, and I don’t want to spoil the dish by microwaving.

Thanks in advance.
I guess I didn’t make myself clear. Last night, I made the sauce, cooked the pasta, and put it together. I just got up (5 a.m.) and took the dish out of the frig to warm to room temp. Then I will add the breadcrumbs and bake the casserole in a regular oven.

Btw, I don’t use mixes or soups when I cook. For this recipe, I followed the 1946 Fannie Farmer recipe. I made a bechemal sauce and added cheese. Next the m&c goes into a 400 F oven for 20 minutes.

I meant, will reheating in a microwave harm the texture of the breadcrumbs?

What is a good, cheap snack that is a bit off the beaten path?

I am so tired of pretzels (they are low fat) – oh and low fat would help too. And also I can’t cook and do not have a food processor. I can microwave and chop. lol.

How do I clean out my food processor bowl after hard crack candy?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 10:23 pm on Tuesday, September 14, 2010

I was making pourable fondant and wasn’t paying close attention to my sugar temperature. I went ahead and poured the liquid sugar into my food processor in hopes that it would still be ok to blend after allowing it to cool to desired temperature.
Now I have hard crack candy sitting in my plastic bowl with the metal blade stuck inside, thus preventing me from putting it on the stove top or in the microwave to soften.
I have tried very hot water and it doesn’t seem to be doing anything.
Help!!
I would love to have a Kitchen Aid, but can’t afford it….so when are you sending one over?
