Good salsa recipe anyone?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 7:22 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2011

I just bought a food processor and I think every jarred salsa in the world has yet to come close to authentic Taqueria style salsas. Do you have a good salsa recipe? I’m open to suggestions, too.
standard salsa, pico de gallo, salsa verde, shrimp salsa, mango salsa…whatever you got. Let me know. Thanks.
Thanks everyone- some of these are great recipes!

Some…just ok.

But you guys know who you are if you’re making good salsa. Thanks again! Wish I didn’t have to pick just one best.

I am wanting to grind our own beef, chicken, etc. I don’t have a food processor, but I do have a Ninja Prep. Could I use that to grind the meat? I do not want to invest a lot of money into this adventure. Also, any tips, methods, recipes, ratios, etc are welcome and much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

veggie burger/meat ball recipe?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 3:09 am on Thursday, March 10, 2011

I’m wondering, does anybody have a fairly easy veggie burger /meatball recipe? I have a cookbook, and it does have the recipes in it, but it calls for a food processor to chunk everything up. I don’t have a food processor though, so does anybody have a fairly easy recipe or something else I can use instead of my foodprocessor? Thanks!

Where can I buy ingredient: “Almond Meal”?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 8:46 am on Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Can I get almond meal from a regular grocery store or do I need to make it in a food processor? Im trying to make the following chocolate chip cookie recipe

http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/chocolate_chip_cookie.html

but I want to exchange the rolled oats for almond meal (like it recommends in order to add protein).

Thanks for any help!

Recipe for Arabic Garlic Sauce (allioli)???

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 12:02 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2011

I have tried making this garlic sauce numerous times, using some recipes that incorporate mayo and potato. I have even just used garlic, salt and olive oil. I have used a mortar and pestle, blender and food processor. I can never get it to come out like the restaurants do. How do some restaurants get theirs to become so white, light and fluffy??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!!!

Does anyone have a recipe for "Pea Sausage"?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 3:07 pm on Friday, February 11, 2011

When I was a kid my grandmother made it all the time. I was never sure if it was something she made up or a recipe she got from her mother. It contained black eyed peas and was almost like pancakes. I have found some recipes for black eyed pea pancakes, but those recipes called for the peas to mashed or blended in a food processor. What my grandmother made had whole peas in it. It may be something unique or unique only to the south (southern arkansas). I appreciate any input on this.
