What kitchen electric tools would be a good Christmas Gift?

Filed under: Electric Food Processors — admin at 9:53 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2012

I am looking to find a nice gift for an Irish descendant woman in her late 50’s who likes to cook, but I don’t know which brands and electric tools are considered good for a chef/cook, I was thinking to update her old Cuisinart food processor for a new one, but I am not sure if I consider another brand like Breville or a more popular kitchen electric tool that is considered a must-have in the kitchen.
Please don’t suggest gift cards because I think they are very impersonal.

First off, aside from Robot Coup, there is no better brand then cuisinart for food processors. Great Gift!
If she bakes I highly recommend a stand mixer Kitchenaid is the best.
I highly recommend an immersion blender AKA Stick Blender cuisinart
A good quality knife is a great present for a cook. I recommend SHUN 10′ Chefs Knife it looks pretty sweet too.

Hope this helps

I love the hand held blenders which are great for soups, sauces etc as you liquidise in the pan you have been cooking with – so you don’t have to wash up seperate processor bowls etc. I would also consider the Espuma and foam makers – very trendy at the moment.

How about a gift card to a cooking supply store so she can pick out her own gift?

What about an electric can opener. It would help her if arthritis is setting in.
